All or Nothing at ALL - 1993. Leo Hopkins

From Carnival Films

The compelling story of a contemporary conman who plays dangerous games with other people's money - with catastrophic and fatal results.

LEO HOPKINS (Hugh Laurie) appears to have everything - a good job in the City, an attractive wife of independent wealth who adores their three children, a beautiful home and abundant charm. But he is prepared to sacrifice everything and everyone to try and satisfy his addiction - not to drugs, love or power, but to danger.

Yet Leo is neither selfish or greedy, he simply has a desperate need to make people happy. Through the greed of others, he allows himself to be drawn in to a fraud that will lead to his destruction and that of those closest to him.

Hugh Laure FAQ has some nice quotes from various reviews:

Time Out said: "This series has so much going for it - Hugh Laurie...", described him as "surprisingly sexy'" and said, "he cries well on camera."

Martyn Harris, The Spectator: "Laurie himself captures perfectly the charm and vulnerability of the successful confidence man....At the end of last week Leo was buried in debt, his wife was on his tail, he'd lost his job, the old blind lady had thrown herself down the lift-shaft in his office, Leo was sitting naked on the roof in the rain. I was out there with him."

Screencap gallery - All episodes, 1-3. There are nearly 500 of them. If you have time, might I suggest the slideshow option!

I have also added a vid clip of the scenes where "Leo" is practicing Tai Chi. The screencaps are taken from a Granada Television screener and has been labeled by them. The entire series has been posted in segments by a fan on youtube ( look under "All or Nothing at All). I won't post my own clips on this site, as it's much too large, but I might post it on youtube as well, as the quality might be a little better.
