From the Hollywood Reporter:
Medical drama also proved to be a winning prescription for Laurie, who was nominated last year as best actor in a TV drama series for his quirky doctor in "House." This year, he won the SAG Award in the same category on his second try. He couldn't resist responding to Murphy after taking the stage, saying, "I'm British, which accounts for why I'm so smooth." But he also added, "It seems to be that this business, for actors anyway, is not so much about whether or not you do good work -- it's about whether or not you get the chance to do good work."
From the LA Times - excerpt regarding the SAG award trophy:
Rainn Wilson of NBC's "The Office" said he had a closer relationship to the trophy. "I actually modeled for this a few years ago. I was the buttocks model." Laurie, who isn't a doctor but plays one on TV, said he worried that in photos his thumb would appear to be giving his trophy an exam of some sort.
foxhousemd sent a less choppy version of the E! Fresh and Raw vid. Much thanks! Now you can buy the pink ring ring Hugh was wearing at the Golden Globes. Show your support by wearing the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Promise Ring. A set of two is only five US dollars. Little did he know he would be the lastest Red Carpet trendsetter!
January 27, 2007 - Thanks to marykir's video finding prowess, two more Golden Globe clips have been discovered. One is E! Fresh and Raw showing a paparazzi vid of Hugh and Jeremy Irons signing autographs at the CAA post Golden Globes party; and the other is from CBS showbuzz featuring a post Golden Globes interview with Hugh. Since it's hard to tell how long those vids will be posted and for those who have trouble with streaming videos/flash, I've made .mov files. The autograph clip is extremely jumpy visually, making it more like a slide show. The interview clip gets a little goofy a few times towards the end of the interview, but fixes itself. Sorry they aren't the best, but I did the best my capture equipment would allow. These can be found on the Video Page, as well as a few screencaps.
Also, a few more PGA photos have been added.
You can watch a live streaming video of the SAG awards tomorrow night on TNT's website.
January 25, 2007 - Mary Jane sent this link to a funny video Richard Belzer (of Law and Order) made. It includes a parody of Richard Belzer playing Greg House!
More PGA photos (non hires). Thanks Carolyn!

Entertainment Weekly has deemed Hugh the "Wittiest Winner"
Wittiest Winner
Hugh Laurie
Maybe the Globes honored so many British stars because they can be counted on to give funny speeches. Cleverest was Hugh Laurie's speech accepting his Best Actor in a Drama Series trophy. The House star first quipped that he wished designers would donate speeches to the stars the way they do formalwear. Then he upended the cliché about thanking the crew, saying, ''I know everyone says they have a wonderful crew and logically that can't be the case and they can't all be wonderful. Somebody, somewhere, is working with a crew of drunken thieves.'' No one could have donated that bit; it was pure Laurie.

A little blurb in the Rolling Stone about Dave Matthew's upcoming guest star appearance on House:
" the news that Matthews will be playing a piano prodigy with seizures on the next episode is intriguing. We know we will enjoy watching Hugh Laurie mocking Matthews. (Even if it IS make believe.) "
Nice mention of Hugh in this recent interview with Saturday Night Live writer Bryan Tucker:
"Hugh Laurie was especially nice and versatile."
Hugh and his father were one of the quiz questions in this 2005 A question of medicine and sport quiz from The Lancet (medical journal):
"Who is the British actor, currently the eponymous star of a hit US TV medical drama, who won a rowing blue while at Cambridge University and whose father was a physician and Olympic gold medal winning oarsman (1 point each for the name of the actor and the character he plays, and 2 points if you know the name of his father)"
Look for Stephen Fry to guest star in an upcoming episode of Bones - Episode # 213, The Girl in the Gator. Thanks amysusanne.
The next new House episode will air on January 30th. Fox will air 3.13 (One Day , One Room) ahead of 3.12 (Needle in a Haystack)

From the Boston Globe: (Ten episodes to remember: the best of '06
By Matthew Gilbert, Globe Staff)
There's no one on TV like Hugh Laurie, and he makes every episode of "House" into a brilliant hateful-irony fest instead of just another disease-of-the-week drama. But I was doubly impressed by Laurie in the December hour called "Merry Little Christmas." The tables were turned on Dr. Contempt, as his friends betrayed him, or saved him, depending on your point of view. After pathetic-junkie efforts to score pills, including pocketing a dead man's Oxy, he left a Christmas message on his parents' voice mail, slugged back pills and booze, and passed out on the floor in his own vomit. Laurie showed us an ugly glimpse of a controlling man out of control, facing the bottom of his addiction.
Check out "Scrubs" tonight on NBC! The show pays homage to House.
January 2, 2007. Clips from upcoming House episode - Words and Deeds. Obviously if you don't want to be spoiled, don't watch them. PLEASE DO NOT POST THESE elsewhere, including youtube. Thank you!
