Hugh Laurie stars as Dr. Gregory House - a brilliant, acerbic, painfully honest, and fascinating physician who not only has to combat the latest baffling disease, but also the constant pain in his damaged leg. The misanthopic Dr. House loves to solve the mystery of his patient's ailments without the mess and tediousness of actually having to interact with them. Laurie's House is a complicated, funny, sexy, arrogant, troubled masterpiece - a true gem of a character. Hugh Laurie has won 2 Golden Globe Awards as Best Actor in a Drama Series, The 2007 Screen Actor's Guild Award, as well as a 2005 Emmy nomination and Screen Actors Guild nomination in 2006. He has also won the 2005 and 2006 Television Critics Award for Outstanding Actor and 2 Golden Satellite Awards for Best Actor in a television drama

House has been nominated for a 2006 Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series.

House has been named one of the AFI's Television Shows of the Year, and has also won an Emmy Award for David Shore as the writer for Three Stories, as well as Writer's Guild Award for Lawrence Kaplow for Autopsy

House has also been honored with a 2006 Peabody Award and David Shore was awarded the Humanitas Prize for Three Stories
