Sept 18, 2005 - Hugh didn't take home the Emmy tonight (James Spade of Boston Legal won), but he was charming and gracious and certainly there will be more chances in the future.
I've added the Joan Rivers red carpet interview (TV Guide Channel) and screencaps. I will add more from the ceremony later.

House was featured in the September 12 issue of TV Guide in their returning favorites section.
Hugh has been everywhere this week - with the premiere of House and the Emmy's on Sunday, he is getting tons of press. More than I can keep up with during the week, but I'll have more additions this weekend.

Some fuzzyish Screencaps. I was going to post the video, but I have a Mac and the audio and video are completely out of sync on my computer - therefore the quicktime movie I made is out of sync as well. I will post it if people would like, or can't view the one over at Fox

After 18 days, I had lost the appetite to talk to stars like Seth Green, so I started to talk to passerby kept from the party from behind the iron bars (What was this? A "Prison Break" theme?). One English family was there, who said they had paid for a full-day pass to the park only to be kicked out by the network mid-day. They lingered because they noticed one star, Hugh Laurie. His "House" is a hit here, but they knew him from "Blackadder" back in the UK. They told me to drop all kinds of "Blackadder" lines to Hugh, but in the end I asked Dr. House to just go over there and say hi to the family and make their day. Relieved to be talking to real people instead of reporters, he graciously obliged. And I was ready to leave for the airport, having done one good deed if no other; willing to leave Los Angeles until next time, in January.
